Come on out Saturday, June 14th from 9AM-12PM to help the Montessori School at Emory (Actually, on North Decatur Rd.) begin to mitigate some erosion, rebuild topsoil, and capture water in their playground. We will be learning to use an A-frame level to map contour, digging some shallow contour swales, and planting a ground cover layer as first steps to a permaculture landscape at this wonderful school! Click the link “Volunteer Day” to learn more, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Part 1: September 6th, 2014 9AM-5PM / Part 2: October 25th, 2014 3PM-8PM
Join us for this 2-part class. On September 6th, we will build a cobb oven, including digging and sifting clay, laying fire brick, building a sand mold, and mixing cobb material. The second class will be lead by Fred Heurtin, master chef, teaching techniques for making gourmet meals in the cobb oven–it’s not just a pizza oven! The class will be held at the Heurtin’s home in East Atlanta Village. To register, use the PayPal button below. Payment plans are available. To find out more, email email@example.com.
